ASSEMBLY September 24: Balance in an Unbalanced Age

Sunday, September 24

10:30 AM | Upper Assembly Hall

Celebrate Fall Equinox
We will begin at 10:30 am in the Upper Assembly Hall, with a festive luncheon to follow in the Lower Assembly Hall.

Join us for this celebration of all things autumnal! We will usher in the fall season with pageantry, including our traditional kids’ procession, poetry, and music by the FUS house band, The Eclectics. In gratitude for the abundance of harvest time, and in recognizing the attacks on Minnesota’s Muslim community, we will collect non-perishable food items for the food shelf at the Masjid An-Nur mosque (please, no pork products).

Rev. David Breeden’s talk, “Balance in an Unbalanced Age,” will invite us to consider the coming darkness that teaches us cosmic balance-dark/light; death/birth; despair/hope; loss/gain; scarcity/plenty.

Following the program, a festive fall luncheon will be served in the Lower Assembly Hall. Suggested donation — $8/adult, $4/youth; $20/family
