Autumnal Equinox Celebration

Join us for this celebration of all things autumnal!  We will usher in the fall season with pageantry, poetry and music by the FUS house band, the Eclectics.  In gratitude for the abundance of harvest time, we will collect canned goods for local food shelves.  Rev. David Breeden will help us reflect on the changing season. Following the program, a festive fall luncheon will be served in the Lower Assembly Hall.

Children gather at 10:15 outside the UAH to participate in the festive harvest procession. They will be dismissed to their classes for a special project during the Assembly.

  • Please bring non-perishable food items for a collection for local food shelves.
  • Luncheon in Lower Assembly Hall—suggested donation $8/adult $4/youth $20/family max
  • Volunteers are needed to help with luncheon – PLEASE CONTACT US.

The Autumnal Equinox marks the passing of summer and the arrival of fall.  As we head into the waning year, we welcome this poignant season of reflection–prompting us to be more measured in our actions, more intentional about our numbered days, more accountable to the web of life.  The abundance of harvest time summons us to lives of gratitude and generosity. We celebrate all the good the world has to offer and this caring community of which we are a part.
