Dear FUS Members: We hope you enjoyed Sergii’s Apple Sponge cakes last Sunday in honor of Sophia’s internship – a gift from Rev. Jullan. Sergii and Olena learned a great deal from the baking marathon to prepare the 8 cakes. The cost of ingredients and their labor in preparing the dessert does not make the $20 donation feasible. They are increasing the requested donation to $30 per cake. They will honor the $20 orders that came in this week. Thank you!
Two FUS members are interviewing the family this week to discuss garden or cleaning jobs. That will give us an idea of what skills and appetite they have for odd jobs. I will report back next week.
Thanks to some of you who have made a tax deductible donation to the FUS Refugee account. The funds cannot be earmarked for any specific family and will assist any refugees with which the team is working. We appreciate your generosity during these very challenging times.
