Library

The FUS library contains a permanent collection of books and other materials focused on Humanism, Unitarian Universalism, religion, philosophy, personal and spiritual growth, social concerns, and other issues important to the Society and its members. The collection is maintained by our members, and the books can be checked out for as long as you need them.

In the library, you’ll also find used books for sale on a wide range of topics. These books are donated by First Unitarian Society members, who are great readers with excellent taste! Name your own price for the books and the magazines are free. Come in, look around, and find yourself some inexpensive reading for the coming week. If you have books or magazines you think others would enjoy reading, drop them off. The proceeds are used for purchasing new materials for the permanent collection and for other worthy causes.

We offer members and visitors a comfortable, welcoming, and quiet space to browse, relax, and enjoy the materials offered. Grab a cup of coffee, log onto our free wifi, and enjoy the great views of downtown Minneapolis.

A member of the Library Committee is always there to assist you.
