“Earth Day” itself is Sunday, April 18. First Unitarian has a series of events planned throughout the month.

Clean Up Our Act, MN: April is Earth Month at the First Unitarian Society
In this congregation, we tackle big issues together. The climate crisis is so overwhelming that we can feel paralyzed by emerging news. In community, we lean on and learn from each other. Our Climate Justice Team meets monthly to share resources and advocacy opportunities; they help us all take action.

MNIPL & Line 3: What Can We Do Now? Thursday, April 8, 6:30-8:00 pm, online, with Rev. Susan Mullin of MN Interfaith Power & Light. Learn more about the progress of Enbridge Line 3 and what is needed now to help the water protectors. (The Zoom link will be provided in our email newsletters).
Clean Up Our Act, MN: Earth Day at FUS, Sunday, April 18, events from 10:30 am-2:30 pm, online.
* Assembly guest speaker Dr. Sam Grant, Executive Director of MN350, speaks on climate apartheid, with music by Sara Thomsen; special breakout rooms during Coffee Hour.
* Afternoon workshop, 1-2:30 pm, with guest Rep. Frank Hornstein and a focus on cleaning up our choices in Minnesota.
* “The Story of Plastics” watch party, Thursday, April 22, 6-7:30 pm, online. This documentary gets real about how the oil and gas industry manipulate the narrative and profit from the plastic pollution crisis.
