COVID, Climate Change, the Cycle of the Seasons

#Covid #Pandemic #Equinox #Climate #Humanism #UnitarianUniversalism

Even as so much in our world has proved to be impermanent and unpredictable, the wheel of the year continues to turn in its time-honored way and thus serves to ground us during this unsettling pandemic. For many, the onset of autumn prompts us to reflect on the gradual closing of the season of growth and reminds us that we reap what we sow. In anticipation of the coming cold and quiet, we would do well to fortify ourselves by giving thought to the challenges — and opportunities — ahead. What kinds of lessons (expected or unexpected) have you gleaned this year, and how might they help guide you in the times to come.

If you can, please consider giving a donation to FUS. We cannot continue the work of moving humanism forward without you and your involvement. Please take a moment to like the video and subscribe to our channel. Thank you!

Feel free to join us afterwards for our Zoom Coffee Hour. For security reasons we will not publish the Zoom link until about 11:00 on Sunday, but it will be available here on our homepage. We’ll gather briefly in one Zoom room, then have breakout rooms for smaller conversations. Rev. Jim Foti will host.
