The EPA found that Minnesota’s lack of response to nitrate pollution in the karst areas of SE Minnesota had put thousands of households that depend on wells for their drinking water at risk. Please support bills to continue Minnesota’s public health work to ensure that all well owners in southeast Minnesota have clean, safe water to drink from their wells. HF821 and SF1183 have bipartisan support and would continue to fund the work to install treatment system systems and repair wells that are contaminated with nitrates.
