“What is a community of faith? It is first and foremost a place of constant beginning.” Those words are from Rev. Dr. Galen Guengerich, former Senior Minister of All Souls UU congregation in New York City. In this present era, it might serve to revisit some of the ground in which our “constantly beginning” Unitarian Universalist congregations are rooted. What have been our steadfast covenants? How does our history still echo in us?

Our guest speaker today is Rev. Kate Tucker, who from 1997 to 2012, served First Universalist Church, Minneapolis, as Associate Minister. Her focus was preaching, pastoral care, and small group ministry. Kate now writes, serves as a spiritual director, and remains involved with UU and Quaker projects in the metro area.
