Bibles and Beer: Humanist Bible Study

Most Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00, Revs. David Breeden and/or Wendy Jerome present updated twists on the Wednesday-night Bible studies that you may have grown up with. They–and sometimes other smart folks–will explain readings from the Hebrew and Christian scriptures. (The beer is optional; refreshments are up to you.) The New Revised Standard Version is the best biblical translation, available in full online here or here.

The sessions begin with a YouTube presentation but are followed by a Zoom chat. The active or most-recent session is featured here; earlier sessions are available from a menu in the upper right hand corner of the page. Some recent topics have included:
* Hey, Let’s Build a Skyscraper (The Tower of Babel)
* What’s So Bad About Listening to Serpents? (Apples and Adam and Eve and Oh My)
* Feasting with Belshazzer (The Writing Is On the Wall)
