“Belonging: Being a Citizen of the Cosmos.” The Cynic philosopher Diogenes of Sinope (c. 400s BCE) is reported to have answered a question about where he came from with, “I am a citizen of the world” (kosmopolitês). That was a big thought 2500 years ago, and it’s an even bigger thought now. What does a cosmopolitan and naturalist worldview call us to do?
