In this public lecture, Dr. Dunbar-Ortiz shared thoughts on her new book “Loaded: A Disarming History of the Second Amendment.” She explored the white supremacist roots of this part of our Constitution that leads to violence and polarization.
Dr. Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz is Professor Emerita of Ethnic Studies from the California State University at Hayward and author of numerous books. Waziyatawin is a Wahpetunwan Dakota professor, author, and activist from Pezihutazizi K’api Makoce in southwestern Minnesota. Rev. Kelli Clement is Assistant Minister at the First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis.
